PRIMARY FUNCTION

Responsible for CCS-Tucson nutrition programs in Pima and Pinal Counties.  Plans, directs, and coordinates all levels of management structure, not exclusive of the Title III nutrition program. Position may from time to time be stressful and require a high demand of performance. May perform other duties as assigned.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Recruits, hires, orients, trains and supervises staff
  • Responsible for maintaining program budget
  • Prepares fiscal accounting and statistical records for the governmental reports
  • Develops, initiates, and implements approved administrative policies and procedures relating to the program
  • Designs and develops program services and functions according to guidelines and grant applications
  • Responsible for grant/proposal writing and fundraising
  • Overall responsibility for resolving staff and client issues
  • Responsible for public relations, community education and program communications
  • Develops Program policies and procedures
  • Promotes community support from local government, service clubs, churches, etc.
  • Evaluates program for contract compliance
  • Database management, training, and oversight
  • Represents the agency in the community
  • Oversight and monitoring of congregate meal sites, home delivered meals
  • Liaison between community kitchen and food sites and food delivery
  • May drive agency or personal vehicle on company business

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Suitable work experience may be considered as transferable skills in order to meet minimum requirements of the position and will be considered by the Corporate Director of Human Resources.

  • Master's degree in Nutrition or related field
  • 5 years of related experience preferably in quantity food services
  • 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Valid driver's license for State of Arizona, proof of insurance and minimum standard 39-month MVR report
  • Obtain State of Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Proven strong communication skills oral and written are clear, concise, and in an organized fashion using appropriate style, grammar and tone
  • Proven skills utilizing Microsoft Office Suite

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Registered dietitian nutritionist current license
  • Bilingual English/Spanish verbal and written
  • Additional years of directly related experience
