PRIMARY FUNCTION

Responsible for the overall development, implementation and management of the Child Welfare programs across Pima and Pinal counties. Responsible for the management and coordination of services to birth mothers who are interested in adoption and to potential adoptive families. Position may from time to time be stressful and require a high demand of performance. May perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Recruits, hires, orients, trains and supervises staff
  • Maintains compliance with licensing standards, contract requirements, and applicable laws
  • Reviews and approves program expenditures
  • Works with Program Directors to collects data for program reports, contract and licensing compliance
  • Develops and oversees program policies procedures and forms
  • Reviews monthly financial reports
  • Oversee monthly billing process for contracts
  • Provides direct services to clients as needed and maintains appropriate client records
  • Collaborates and coordinates services within Agency programs and with outside agencies
  • Outreach and provide education for the Training of Adoption Competencies
  • Represents, promotes programs and the CCS mission Agency to community
  • Oversee infant, international and in family adoptions
  • Participate in case consultations and staffing
  • Oversees the preparation and submission of required reports and forms to Court, other agencies and for licensure
  • Maintain program statistics
  • May drive agency or personal vehicle on company business

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Suitable work experience may be considered as transferable skills in order to meet minimum requirements of the position, and will be considered by the Corporate Director of Human Resources

  • Master's in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or related field
  • 3 years' experience in clinical or direct service practice
  • 3 years' combined experience in adoption-related child welfare experience, overseeing program budget, statistics and licensure requirements
  • 2 years' experience in supervision, program oversight and planning
  • Pass pre-employment and annual drug screening
  • Experience in writing reports, keeping stats and conduction assessments
  • Proven data entry skills (speed and accuracy)
  • Proven skills utilizing Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proven strong communication skills oral and written are clear, concise, and in an organized fashion using appropriate style, grammar and tone
  • Obtain State of Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Valid Arizona Driver License, proof of insurance, Arizona Motor Vehicle Division 39 month Motor Vehicle Report, and reliable, safe transportation
  • First Aid and CPR certification

 DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Licensed by the Board of Behavioral Health Examiners
  • Additional years or directly related experience
  • Bilingual, English / Spanish verbal and written
