This position assists in overseeing the service desk and coordinates the distribution of all donated goods. Conducts initial screening of individuals to determine service need. Provide support for the SNAP program, conducts community outreach, determines eligibility for SNAP and tracks participant data. Assists with activities in the Housing and Family Services and Assets for Families Programs. Position may from time to time be stressful and require a high demand of performance. May perform other duties as assigned.


  • Responsible for service desk duties, including greeting clients, screening and ensuring that they are directed to the appropriate department
  • Answers and routes incoming calls, takes messages, and provides information and referrals as needed
  • Process SNAP applications and benefits screenings, using online software.
  • Responsible for data entry, assists with preparation of reports, keeps accurate records for programs, and performs general office duties, as needed
  • Conducts initial screenings of participants to determine eligibility for services
  • Work with other Pio Decimo programs to schedule SNAP enrollments for program participants, when possible.
  • Conduct SNAP outreach to Pio Decimo's VITA clients, as well as those of other internal programs, following behavioral economics techniques developed by university partners. Training to be provided
  • Inventories, organizes, and maintains all donated service areas
  • Maintains a clean and safe environment
  • May drive agency or personal vehicle on company business

Suitable work experience may be considered as transferable skills in order to meet minimum requirements of the position, and will be considered by the Corporate Director of Human Resources.

  • High School / GED
  • One year related experience
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills oral and written communications are clear and concise using appropriate style, grammar and tone
  • Obtain State of Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds, as needed.


  • Bilingual, English/ Spanish verbal and written
  • Associates degree in related field
  • Knowledge of and ability to maintain food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Additional years of related experience
