Location: Tucson, Part-time

The Case Manager ll Foster and Adoption Licensing Specialist provides comprehensive services to foster and adoption and Interstate Compact (ICPC) clients, including initial assessment, licensing, re-licensing, supervision, training, and ongoing support. Participates in the coordination of foster children placements on an on-call basis. Heavy travel is required. May require evenings and weekends. Position may from time to time be stressful and require a high demand of performance. May perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

  • Conducts agency orientation in person or by phone with potential resource (foster) families; follows orientation with screening interview of interested applicants in person; provides general information and initial foster care application packet
  • Participates in initial trainings (Foster Parent College) for licensing, helps identify community resources that will meet the advanced training requirement
  • Remains in contact with families during application and pre-service training process; provides support, assistance, and assures that prospective foster parents progress through each step towards licensing in a timely manner
  • Completes initial, renewal, and amendment licensing home studies
  • Completes family and adoption home studies referred by the Department of Child Safety (DCS) for ICPC
  • Enters home studies into Quick Connect in a timely manner as per contract and submits all required Foster Home Licensing documents to the Office of Licensing, and Regulations (OLR)
  • Recommends approval or denial of licensure of foster home in each home study

Minimum Qualifications

Suitable work experience may be considered as transferable skills in order to meet minimum requirements of the position and will be considered by the Corporate Director of Human Resources.

  • BA in Human Services or related field
  • 1 year of related experience in Human Services or related field
  • Pass pre-employment and annual drug screening
  • Proven computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills oral and written communications are clear, concise, and organized
  • Valid State of Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License, proof of insurance, Arizona Motor Vehicle Division 39-month Motor Vehicle Report, and reliable, safe transportation

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Human Services or related field
  • Additional years of directly related experience in foster care
  • Bilingual, English / Spanish verbal and written
