The Program Specialist III Floater provides client supervision and training at each of COPD's community worksites, client services, and/or individual job placement sites as needed. This includes training, placement, employment services, job coaching, and follow up services for clients as needed in any of the vocational and client services programs. Implements job readiness routines, assists with client behavior assessments and modification plan development, Helps maintains case files, completes progress notes and unit counts. Assures work contract is performed according to Scope of Work or contractual requirements at each site. Position may from time to time be stressful and require a high demand of performance. May perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OF THE PROGRAM SPECIALIST FLOATER

  • Bachelor's in Social Services or related field (7 years of directly related experience may substitute for Bachelor's)
  • 2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities in a vocational or educational setting
  • Ability to work nights and/or weekends, if required
  • Obtain State of Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Knowledge of the job market
  • Proven ability to lift 25 lbs 10% of the time
  • Pass drug screening
  • Current certificate of Prevention and Support Training and Article 9 training, or the ability to obtain certification.
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License, proof and insurance and obtain Arizona Motor Vehicle Department 39 Month report

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS OF THE PROGRAM SPECIALIST FLOATER

  • Fluent in American Sign Language
  • Additional years of directly related experience
  • 1 year of experience working in Vocational Services.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid
