Program Specialist, part-time, Tucson

The Program Specialist adopts a service delivery model of counseling that includes a strength-based, family friendly and culturally sensitive approach to intake, assessment, service planning and direct treatment services. Primary responsibility is to provide clinical services to clients. Collaborates with team members and serve as a point of contact and communication. Hours may vary in accordance with staffing and client needs. Serving clients from multiple locations will be required through telehealth services and limited travel to Tucson may be required. May perform other duties as assigned.


  • Perform intake screening, psychosocial history, assessments and treatment planning
  • Aid in providing clinical treatment and oversight to the client's care
  • Provide psychoeducational or therapeutic groups consistent with client's treatment needs
  • Maintain progress notes per licensure and report completion to funding sources
  • Promote client advocacy services through referrals and follow-up
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings
  • Liaison with other Agency programs and community agencies/providers
  • Ensure the clinical soundness of the assessment/treatment process
  • Coordinate and serve as the point of contact through communication with the client's treatment team and other systems where clinical knowledge is important
  • Collaborate with others, including participation in unified assessment, planning and services approach for children or families involved with multiple systems
  • Develop access for children to a comprehensive array of sufficient behavioral health services to meet their needs
  • Provide support in the achievement of functional outcomes
  • May drive agency or personal vehicle on company business
  • May perform other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree in human services or related field
  • 2 years experience in mental health field
  • Bilingual, English / Spanish verbal and written
  • Skilled in diagnosis of clinical issues and utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic approaches
  • Proven computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven strong communication skills - oral and written are clear, concise, and in an organized fashion using appropriate style, grammar and tone
  • Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and TB Clearance
  • Obtain State of Level One Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Valid Arizona Driver License, proof of insurance and Arizona Motor Vehicle Division 39 month Motor Vehicle Report


  • Master's in human services or related field
  • Additional years of directly related experience
  • Bilingual, English / Spanish verbal and written
