Program Aide, Full-time, Daybreak

Assist elderly or disabled adults with daily living activities in a daytime non-residential facility. Primary focus of position is to prepare meals in accordance to nutritional guidelines. Models proper nutrition habits, cleanliness and sanitation to the elderly, and people with disabled. Responsible for contract compliance in food operations. Position may from time to time be stressful and require a high demand of performance. May perform other duties as assigned.


  • Prepare morning and/or afternoon snacks and meals according to planned menu and observing all related health Department regulations
  • Record CACFP meal counts, serve food according to guidelines and ensure CACFP program compliance
  • Prepare facility and participants for CACFP meals, and assist participants to take lids off, cut meals, etc.
  • Assist in the supervision and care of the participants in the program.
  • Complete daily recordkeeping of the food program, as well as, other monthly reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with food handling and food operations standards.
  • Assist in facility maintenance, including care and cleaning of indoor and outdoor space
  • Provide support to participants with all activities of daily living, including personal care, toileting, dressing, socialization, recreation, education, and mobility
  • May drive agency or personal vehicle on company business
  • May perform other duties as assigned


Suitable work experience may be considered as transferable skills in order to meet minimum requirements of the position and will be considered by the Corporate Director of Human Resources.

  • High School / GED
  • Valid Arizona Driver License, proof of insurance and Arizona Motor Vehicle Division 39-month Motor Vehicle Report
  • Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid, Food Handlers Card, and TB clearance
  • Obtain State of Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Ability to stoop, climb, bend, and reach
  • Required to lift 60lbs. 10%


  • Associates Degree in related field
  • Bilingual English / Spanish, verbal and written
  • Additional years of directly related experience
